I am proud of the choice I made in mid-season window, says Gor Mahia winger

Gor Mahia winger Shariff Musa is proud of the success realized out of the risk he took in the mid-season transfer window. Musa ditched Bidco United, where he was thriving, for Gor in the mid-season window, a move that caught many by surprise. Given that the flanker was just one and half seasons old in the top tier, he was expected to warm the bench at Gor if the presence of senior players was anything to go by. However, Musa hit the ground running at Gor and his efforts and those of his teammates were rewarded on Sunday after clinching the league title. Gor Mahia crowned 2023-24 FKF Premier League championsBeing his first-ever major title, Musa looks back at the decision he made in February, saying he is proud of the fruits it has brought to his budding career. “I had a good first leg with Bidco and had an option of featuring to the club up to the end of the season. When Gor offered a deal, I decided to take it although it wasn’t an easy one to make. I worked hard at Gor and I am happy with the rewards,” he said. Besides winning the league, his displays at Gor earned him his fist Harambee Stars call up in March when coach Engin Firat included him in the squad that played in the Four Nations tournament in Malawi. ##NAJAVA_MECA_8173679##Although he didn’t make his debut, the former Kariobangi Sharks player is happy to have secured such a milestone in his second season in the top tier. “It has been a successful season in many fronts.
