The final men’s major championship of the year is almost here.
The 152nd British Open is set for July 18-21 at Royal Troon in Scotland. The last time the Open was contested there in 2016, LIV Golf’s Henrik Stenson and Phil Mickelson ran away from the field and dueled it out on Sunday before Stenson took home his lone major title. Mickelson later earned Champion Golfer of the Year in 2013.
Cameron Smith (2022) and Louis Oosthuizen (2010) are the other LIV Golf players to win British Opens. At the U.S. Open, LIV Golf’s Bryson DeChambeau took home the title for his second major championship, the second golfer to win a major while playing for the league, following Brooks Koepka, 2023 PGA Championship.
There was a 36-hole final qualifying at four locations on Tuesday, July 2, and two more LIV golfers punched their ticket that way.
Meet the 16 LIV Golf players competing in this year’s British Open at Royal Troon.
