Vihiga Bullets FC will be one of the teams in the second tier, National Super League (NSL) to thank their lucky stars for staying up following long spells of languishing in the relegation zone.Ending the season with a gallant 2-1 dismissal of NSL champions Mara Sugar on Sunday, Bullets, who had already secured safety from the threat of relegation, finished 13th on the 20-team log- a huge leap. Nyawir, now 25, was bred in the Gor Mahia youth setup, gaining promotion to the senior team in 2021. Playing time was, however, hard to come by considering the 21-time champions’ wealth in the department he plays.
