D-Day for Harambee Stars as CAF conducts 2025 AFCON qualifiers draw

Kenya will learn of their opponents for the 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations, to be held in Morocco, today when the draw is conducted in South Africa.The qualifiers are set to commence in September, and Stars coach Engin Firat will find out which teams he will face on the qualification journey for the tournament, which will be staged in Morocco in December 2025. They did not take part in the 2021 edition after being kicked out of the qualifiers following a ban imposed by FIFA when the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) was disbanded by the government.The Stars returned to the international scene in 2023, featuring in a couple of friendly games before the 2026 World Cup qualifiers commenced last November.The draw will take place at 3:30 PM local time and will be live-streamed on CAF’s Official YouTube channel.
