The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that this year’s edition of the CAF Super Cup will break the usual routine and be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.The announcement was made by CAF President Patrice Motsepe together with the Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), Turki bin Abdulmohsen Alalshikh.Over the years, the CAF Super Cup has typically taken place within the borders of the African continent.##NAJAVA_MECA_8209626##The last edition (2023) was the first to move to the Arabian Peninsula, staged at King Fahd Sports City.The CAF Super Cup Final 2024 will feature the current winners of the CAF Champions League, Al Ahly SC, and the holders of the CAF Confederation Cup, Zamalek SC.The match will be played on Friday, July 27, 2024, in Riyadh.The football-governing body of the continent is expected to announce the venue and kick-off time of the match in due course.CAF President Dr. Motsepe said: “The partnership between CAF and Saudi Arabia is based on the excellent relationship and mutual commitment of both parties. “CAF is excited to work together and partner with the General Entertainment Authority.
