Gor Mahia and Harambee Stars striker Benson Omala has joined Lebanese top tier side Safa Sporting.Omala had been heavily linked with an exit from K’Ogalo following his impressive goal scoring record in the past two seasons where he surpassed the 15-goal mark in both terms.##NAJAVA_MECA_8262847##In February, Omala was on the verge of joining Algerian side JS Saoura but the deal collapsed despite an earlier announcement by Gor that indicated the completion of the transfer. He put behind the transfer heartbreak and helped Gor retain the league title with his goal scoring prowess earning him the ‘Golden Shoe’ in the end. Omala finished the season with 19 goals, seven fewer of the tally he managed in the preceding 2022-2023 season but the individual award certainly came as a consolation as he missed it by a single goal.
