Last season, we were among the three teams that beat Gor Mahia. We finished strong and we have started on a high note,” Mwaloma told Mozzart Sport.The forward-thinking CEO further explained that apart from winning, their aim was to ensure that players reap the financial benefits of their talents.“We want to provide an alternative source of income to players through sports. We also want to avail opportunities for players to be exposed worldwide and possible scouting to improve their earnings. This move, according to Mwaloma, aligns perfectly with the mission of the Kenya Academy of Sports, the financiers of the team, whose core objective is to nurture and promote young players.“The fact that the team is run under the Kenya Academy of Sports is the motivation for us to provide a pathway for players from the Talanta Hela program that was run last year. This expansion aims to provide more opportunities for youth development.“FC Talanta management in line with club licensing regulation is in the process of putting together a ladies’ team and a youth team so that the young players will be exposed and eventually join the senior team. It is a five-year plan.We want to promote ladies’ football and it has been a bit challenging because there are very few teams.
