LIV Golf has returned to the Lone Star State, this time to the Big D, for its final event of 2024.
The LIV Golf Team Championship gets underway Friday at Maridoe Golf Club outside of Dallas with 10 teams competing in the match play quarterfinals. Three teams, Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC, Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII and Cameron Smith’s Ripper GC, have quarterfinal byes and automatically advance to Saturday’s semifinals.
Come Sunday, the event switches to stroke play, where the four advancing teams from the semifinals will battle it out for the team title. Last year, Crushers GC won the title and prize money. $14 million is on the line for the winning team.
Brooks Koepka’s Smash GC was the fourth seed for the quarterfinals, meaning they had the choice to pick which team they wanted to play. That process continued until the bracket was completed.
Match play consists of two singles matches and a foursomes match. The team who gets two points advances.
