FKF appoint new CEO following Barry Otieno’s resignation

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has appointed Patrick Korir as the body’s interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO).Korir will fill in the void left by Barry Otieno, who tendered his resignation on Tuesday, bringing an end to his five-year tenure as the General Secretary at Kandanda House.Otieno had served as FKF CEO since 2019 when he was picked to succeed Robert Muthomi, who was removed on allegations of abuse of office.##NAJAVA_MECA_8398752##Before his rise to the highest executive role at the federation, Otieno headed the communications wing of the body for at least three years.In a communication to media houses, FKF confirmed that Korir had been headhunted from Nairobi City Stars to succeed Otieno albeit on an interim basis.Korir is not new to the game having served Nairobi City Stars in a similar capacity, as a journalist and a Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom tournament coordinator for years.“FKF has swiftly appointed Patrick Korir as the interim CEO effective immediately. Patrick brings a wealth of experience in Kenyan football having served as a journalist, football coordinator, and CEO at Nairobi City Stars.
