Ally Salum knocking on Taifa Stars door following meteoric rise at Kariobangi Sharks

Kariobangi Sharks forward Ally Salum is confident that his good start to life in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) will lay a solid foundation for his bid to secure his first call-up to the Tanzania national team for next month’s assignments.Salum has taken the Kenyan top tier by storm as he has found the back of the net four times in as many matches, a run of form that has placed him at the summit of the top scorer’s sheet. The 18-year-old, says he can not wait for the return of league matches and to give the Taifa Stars technical bench more reasons to reserve a place for him in the team for the final 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier matches against; Ethiopia and Guinea set for next month.##NAJAVA_MECA_8397727##Salum acknowledges that a good start in the Kenyan top tier is not enough to deliver the ticket and thus his hunger to add more goals when the league resumes on Saturday 19 October.“I am aiming to secure my first call up to the Taifa Stars next month. I have had a good start in the league and I am sure it might have caught the attention of the technical bench. If not, I hope to score more between now and the next international break to accomplish my dream,” he told Mozzart Sport. What Olunga promised MOFA after their match against Mombasa StarsSalum, who has been in Kenya in the last two years, further hopes to follow in the footsteps of former Tusker forward Ibrahim Joshua, whose excellent form in the Kenyan league saw him earn a call-up.Joshua procured regular call-ups to Taifa Stars during his first two years at Tusker before losing favour thanks to a knee injury.Salum keen on becoming third Kariobangi Sharks player to win FKF Premier League’s ‘Golden Boot’“I have a good case study to draw motivation from. If Joshua managed it, I am sure I will succeed as well,” said the Cambiasso Sports Academy graduate, who also hopes to clinch the ‘Golden Boot’ and league title.
