Nzoia Sugar FC chairman Evance Kadenge has refuted claims that the club will be dissolved following the withdrawal of financial assistance from the parent company.Reports of the club closing shop have been circulating on social media but Kadenge has come out to assure fans that the team will not fold. The chairman revealed that the Nzoia Sugar Company Limited, who finance the team, will no longer be the sponsor due to financial constraints.##NAJAVA_MECA_8424494##The administrator, who returned to the club last month replacing Yappets Mokua, said the decision not to disband the team was arrived at after well-wishers, fans and football stakeholders pledged financial support. He further, said the management was empathetic enough to hold on in the interest of the career of the players currently attached to the club. The company will no longer be sponsoring us due to lack of money. We will however not cease operations as well-wishers have promised to come to our rescue. We also don’t want to ruin the careers of our players by denying them a platform,” he cleared the air.Meanwhile, Kadenge disclosed that the team will be in need of at least Ksh1.8 million per month to survive and secure a return ticket to the top tier.Nzoia were relegated to the National Super League (NSL) at the end of last season after finishing rock bottom of the log.
