Gor Mahia’s rescheduled fixture against Bandari at Ukunda Showground was ended prematurely on Wednesday afternoon after a section of supporters twice affected proceedings with minutes left to play.The unfortunate incident occurred around the 80th minute, moments after hosts Bandari had scored their second goal to go 2-0 up.Bandari FC 2-0 Gor Mahia #KPL2024 pic.twitter.com/N8lcZM274C— Ole Teya (@TeyaKevin) November 6, 2024 From the TV cameras, a section of supporters behind the Bandari goal seemed to be descending from their stands and making their way closer to the pitch as Gor Mahia prepared to take a set piece.It was then that referee Kelvin Maina stopped play, gesturing all players to converge at the middle of the pitch.After a brief stoppage – of around 20 minutes – play resumed but was stopped almost immediately, the game unable to go on despite cameras showing that a sizeable number of supporters had exited the grounds.A Bandari FC statement read on X: “Play has been halted after Gor Mahia fans started to riot.
