Henry reveals his ‘issues’ with Arsenal’s form

For Liverpool fans, the season has started fantastic. Not only did they change the coach, but they didn’t buy anyone during the transfer window, and still, they had only one defeat in all competitions. On the contrary, Arsenal fans are desperate and frustrated. Last season, the title race came to the final round, but this one started badly, and after only 10 rounds, the points difference is already seven points behind Liverpool and five behind Manchester City. The tough schedule didn’t help either, and a series of bad results spilt over to the Champions League, where the Gunners suffered their first defeat this season, 1-0 against Inter. It’s cold away from the Emirates…It all looks very worrisome, and even the former Gunners captain had to admit that Mikel Arteta’s men are not competitive at the moment. Speaking to CBS after a defeat against Inter in the Champions League, Thierry Henry gave his opinion about Arsenal’s current situation.“Right now they’re not challenging for the league, as you can see. The results are not good enough to be at the top. My issue, and we’ve talked about it since matchday two, away from home I don’t think it was good enough. We were getting away with it for a very long time, now we’re not anymore, so let’s see what happens against Chelsea. I don’t think they’ll be out the race. I think it will be extremely different because you have too many teams to catch. I don’t see two teams collapsing, that’s my issue” the former France international told CBS Sports Golazo.PSG in danger, Real and City in an uncomfortable positions: Champions League‘s overviewThere are other reasons, apart from the heavy schedule (and bad away form) which are the reasons why Arsenal is not in the title race (for now), like disciplinary problems and injuries. William Saliba, Leandro Trossard and Decklan Rice all picked up red cards during important Premier League matches, none of which Gunners won. Also, some key players got injured and that also didn’t help Arteta’s cause. Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Ben White, Jurrien Timber, Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino all picked up injuries at one point, and Declan Rice missed out on the travelling squad for the Inter clash.ENGLAND PREMIER LEAGUE ROUND 11SaturdaySat 18:00: (2.55) Brentford (3.60) Bournemouth (2.80)Sat 18:00: (2.65) Crystal Palace (3.20) Fulham (2.75)Sat 18:00: (2.15) West Ham (3.45) Everton (3.35)Sat 18:00: (2.05) Wolverhampton (3.60) Southampton (3.80)Sat 20:30: (4.40) Brighton (4.10) Man.City (1.80)Sat 23:00: (1.48) Liverpool (5.00) Aston Villa (6.50)SundaySun 17:00: (1.42) Man.Utd.
