Tusker centre half Michael Kibwage is glad to be back in action after overcoming an injury that sidelined him for a month. The former Sofapaka defender returned to training last week after passing the fitness test.He made a strong comeback, playing his first full 90 minutes since injury in their 2-0 win over Waterworks FC during a friendly match played on Saturday, 9 November. In an exclusive with Mozzart Sport, Kibwage recalled the difficult moment that led to his injury. ##NAJAVA_MECA_8492847##He sustained the injury on Friday, 9 October during a friendly match against Kenya Police FC.“It was at Police FC’s corner; we were vying to clear the ball from our goalpost when our goalkeeper rose high and accidentally landed on my ankle. That’s where my game came to an end,” he painfully recalled.The injury was severe enough to require immediate medical attention on the sidelines, followed by a hospital visit. Our physio, strength, and conditioning coaches gave me tailored training sessions that made it easier to come back stronger,” he shared.“The team, management, technical bench, fellow players, and fans all rallied around me. Their messages and calls kept my morale high and made me feel like we were together through it all,” he continued.Having resumed, Kibwage is eager to repay that support with solid performances on the field.
