Tactical change that ended Talanta’s six game winless run

Talanta FC assistant coach Jackson Gatheru has explained the tactical change that they made in order to bring to halt their six match winless run. The Jackline Juma-coached side were on a winning drought in the FKF Premier League with their last win coming back on 14 September against Sofapaka. Since then, they have drawn three games and lost a similar number of matches. We played attacking minded players, to get all points ,” said Gatheru.Gatheru also revealed that, they had tried different formations and players in a bid to find a win and a preferred starting team which they now seem to have found. We had not yet found the first eleven,” he added.Talanta elected to play attacking football after the goal and made attacking substitutions even when ordinarily they were expected to sit back and defend their lead. They team is ranked position 14 and out of relegation zone albeit on goal difference.
