Kenya to face South Sudan in opening fixture as U17 AFCON Qualifiers schedule is released

The fixtures of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) CECAFA U 17 qualifiers have been released with Kenya starting their campaign against South Sudan on Sunday 15 December 2024.On Thursday 28 November, the draw for the CECAFA U 17 was carried out with Junior Stars placed in Group B alongside defending champions Somalia, South Sudan and Sudan.In Group A, hosts Uganda were pooled alongside Ethiopia, Tanzania and Burundi with a place in the semi finals at stake.Kenya to face defending champions Somalia in U17 AFCON QualifiersThe qualifiers which will be done in a round robin format will take place from Saturday 14 December 2024 to Friday 27 December 2024.Each match day will have two matches played in it. St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende will host only two matches in the tournament with the rest of the matches taking place at the Nakivubo Hamz Stadium.The first match will see Ethiopia face off with Burundi from 1400 hrs at the Nakivubo Hamz Stadium before Uganda welcomes neighbours Tanzania from 1700 hrs at the same venue.##NAJAVA_MECA_8536992##Kenya, under the tutelage of Salim Babu will take to the Stadium on match day two when they face South Sudan from 1400 hrs in the first of the double header that will be played at Nakivubo Hamz.
