Giallorossi needed only eight minutes to score two goals and not only that, they kept their advantage and defended well, finishing with a clean sheet, their only second one since Ranieri‘s arrival. But as soon as the game began, Roma took the initiative, scored two quick goals and then just tactically ‘killed‘ their rival for the next 70 minutes. There were no chances before the first goal, only because the first goal came so quickly, in the 10th minute of the game. It was Roma‘s captain and boyhood fan Lorenzo Pellegrini, who has even been booed by his own fans at times this season who scored a beauty and sent his fans into delirium. Just eight minutes after that, AC Milan‘s Saelemaekers scored the second goal. Roma played tactically well and basically left Lazio without a proper chance in the first half. In the second period, the ‘guests‘ in this game (Lazio and Roma share the stadium) started with a fury and had two great chances, but when tactical setup failed, Roma keeper Rade Svilar was there to save shots from Castellanos and Guendouzi. Roma‘s only chance after two goals came in the 57th minute, when Pellegrini came close to scoring a brace, but his shot was saved by Provedel with his legs.
