Kakamega Homeboyz will have to do without the services of their young midfielder Nobert Onyango Ochieng following his move to the United States of America. Onyango hit the runaway on Friday night after landing a football scholarship at the George Mason University in Fairfax County, Virginia state. We wish him well as he starts his scholarship and football journey,” said the Imbenzi. Onyango did not make regular squad appearances in league matches due to the stiff competition for game time. He was largely used in last season’s Mozzart Bet Cup where the club reached the quarterfinals, exiting the tournament following a 1-0 loss to KCB. Imbenzi clarified that Homeboyz will only ask for development fees if he seals a permanent move upon the completion of his studies.
