Friendships in football are pretty common. After all, when you spend so much time with the same group of people – sometimes even more than with your family – you have to bond with some of them. It’s human nature. However, friendships that begin even before football and then proceed throughout people’s careers are rare. Well, one unique brotherhood started and grew in North London and at Emirates Stadium.Eddie knows Howe against Arteta’s ArsenalEthan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly are the latest big things at Arsenal – the club’s children and (hopefully) its future. However, the two are more than just two kids who happened to shine at the same time with the same team. They are and have been for some time now – best friends.Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly met at the age of six – though the latter is six months older – and have been “BFF” ever since. They started at Chelsea together before joining Arsenal two years later, of course, at the same time.⏪ Ethan Nwaneri & Myles Lewis-Skelly. ❤️📸 @SamJDean pic.twitter.com/kC2rY53no7— afcstuff (@afcstuff) February 5, 2025 Together, they stepped on the grass of Emirates Stadium for the first time in 2015, before Arsenal’s clash against West Bromwich Albion, during the introduction of the club’s new U-9 generation. They debuted for the U-18 team together, and both scored on their debut.##EDITORS_CHOICE##As per Telegraph, off the pitch, they were inseparable as well, and although they did not go to the same school, they did their homework and studied together. And when they weren’t at Arsenal’s training sessions, they would practice at Nwaneri’s home, with the winger’s father as a coach. Since they lived close to each other, Myles would quickly arrive by bicycle to Ethan’s house, ready for another round of practice and hanging out with his friend.Who did Arsenal bring and why no one?The only place they are not together is – believe it or not – Arsenal’s locker room, as Nwaneri has to change elsewhere, given that he’ll turn 18 in March. Regarding their natures, they are a perfect “yin and yang” – while Nwaneri is more introverted and reserved, Lewis-Skelly is more extroverted and sociable (just look at his celebration against Man City and his impersonation of none other than Erling Haaland).Stars of @Arsenal’s present and future 🌟Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri 👏#ARSMCI pic.twitter.com/wOlzgjd0qs— Premier League (@premierleague) February 2, 2025 When it comes to the derby against the Cityzens, history repeated itself five years later as both Ethan and Myles scored in Arsenal’s crushing 5-1 triumph over the champions. The only difference is that it was Nwaneri’s seventh and Lewis-Skelly’s debut goal for the Gunners. And after everything they’ve been through together, one cannot help but think of destiny. It bonded them, just like “yin and yang,” and made them friends, teammates, and brothers for life, and Arsenal are lucky to have them.EFL CUPSemifinalWednesdayNewcastle – Arsenal 2-0 (1-0)/Murphy 19, Gordon 52/Thursday 23:00 (1.25) Liverpool (6.50) Tottenham (10.0)***odds are subject to change***
