John Kamau tears into Mathare United’s management, calls for professionalism

Mathare United head coach John Kamau has torn into the club’s management for putting unfair pressure on the team, and called for professionalism from everyone around the club.Kamau seems to have been fed up by the pressure from some quotas of the management to the players and the technical bench, and chose to address them.##NAJAVA_MECA_8692779##Speaking to the club’s media after Mathare’s 2-1 loss to Gor Mahia in a league match played on Saturday 8 February at Dandora, Kamau asked for patience towards the team.“For the people around our team, they should know that before we achieve what we want to achieve, there will be some setbacks because the players need more playing time to grow,” said Kamau.The Harambee Stars assistant coach felt that The Slum Boys are on course to achieving their season’s target of retaining their league status, and therefore do not deserve the pressure and environment they are subjected to, especially from those aware of the targets.John Kamau on why Mathare United lost to Gor Mahia“It is an issue of how we carry ourselves because at the end of the day, the team will remain in the league.
