Bandari have been handed a massive boost ahead of their Sunday Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match against Tusker. Their first choice goalkeeper Bryne Omondi will be available for selection. The Bandari technical bench has not had the privilege of fielding the highly-rated goalkeeper, in the eight matches played since the start of the year, thanks to a thigh injury.Omondi last played a competitive match on 7 January when Harambee Stars beat Tanzania 2-0 in a Mapinduzi Cup played at Gombani Stadium, in Zanzibar. ##NAJAVA_MECA_8745669##According to a source at Bandari, who sought anonymity, the shot stopper has been training with the rest of the team for a few days and is fit enough to contest for game time against Tusker. Earlier, Bandari Chief Executive Officer Tony Kibwana revealed that the stubborn nature of the injury forced the management to investigate the transfer window. Consequently, the Dockers signed the experienced Faruk Shikalo on Thursday, marking his return to the club six years after bidding them farewell. KCB pained by exit of experienced goalkeeper, eyes replacement before window closesShikalo ditched Bandari for record Tanzanian Premier League champions Yanga in 2019, few months after helping the club land the Mozzart Bet Cup, formerly known as the Shield Cup. His return to Bandari will certainly trigger massive competition for the playing time between him and Omondi, as both will seek to keep the number one shirt. James Omusinde, who has been guarding the goal since Omondi suffered the setback, will also be keen to play ahead of his seniors. The availability of Omondi comes at a time when Bandari are plotting to return to winning ways after losing the last two matches against KCB and FC Talanta.Bandari promise handsome rewards for players should they win a titleMeanwhile, Tusker will hope to bag all three points and arrest their three-game winless run as well as return to the summit.Their bid for the top spot will only come to pass if they manage to get three points with AFC Leopards doing them a favour by beating Kenya Police.
