The talented player, Assane Diao, has decided that he will represent Senegal, the country of his birth, in senior football, instead of Spain, for which he played during the younger part of his career. According to current FIFA regulations, players are allowed to switch national teams at the senior level if they have not played more than three matches before the age of 21, have not participated in the final stage of a major tournament, and have not played an international match for at least three years.
