Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has won the Premier League Player of the Month award for March, marking the fifth time in his career he has received this honor. Fernandes, who also won the club’s Player of the Month award, has been in phenomenal form recently and appears to be one of the few bright spots for Manchester United in an otherwise difficult period. The Portuguese star scored six goals in five matches across all competitions. Two of those goals stand out in particular—his stunning free-kick goal at Old Trafford in the 1-1 draw against Arsenal and another brilliant strike against Leicester.Bruno brilliance 💫Bruno Fernandes is the @EASPORTSFC Player of the Month for March!#PLAwards pic.twitter.com/ew4f8SS9VU— Premier League (@premierleague) April 4, 2025 In addition to winning Manchester United’s internal award for March’s best player, Fernandes claimed this Premier League honor by outperforming competitors such as Anthony Elanga and Declan Rice. With this latest accolade, he has now equaled Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie (though Van Persie won some of his awards during his time at Arsenal) with five Player of the Month awards.Interestingly, Fernandes’ first four awards all came in his debut year at the club, when he won the honor for February, June, November, and December of 2020. Now, only five players have won the award more times since it was first introduced in the 1994/95 season.Steven Gerrard and Cristiano Ronaldo have each won it six times, with Ronaldo holding the record for the longest gap between two awards (March 2008 – September 2021).🥇 Bruno Fernandes wins 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 for March, becoming just the third player to win 𝟓+ awards while playing for Man Utd 👹🔥🇵🇹 Cristiano Ronaldo – 𝟔 🏴 Wayne Rooney – 𝟓🇵🇹 Bruno Fernandes – 𝟓 📈 pic.twitter.com/Trbzx5NyEp— LiveScore (@livescore) April 4, 2025 Mohamed Salah has already won the award twice this season, joining Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane on the list of players who have claimed it seven times.PREMIER LEAGUE – MATCHDAY 31Saturday14:30: (5.20) Everton (3.60) Arsenal (1.80)17:00: (2.40) Crystal Palace (3.40) Brighton (2.95)17:00: (2.80) Ipswich (3.25) Wolverhampton (2.60)17:00: (3.20) West Ham (3.50) Bournemouth (2.35)19:30: (2.05) Aston Villa (3.60) Nott.Forest (3.90)Sunday16:00: (3.40) Brentford (3.60) Chelsea (2.20)16:00: (4.20) Fulham (3.80) Liverpool (1.90)16:00: (1.40) Tottenham (4.80) Southampton (7.75)18:30: (3.45) Man.Utd.
