Cunha to Manchester in final stages

The season is almost over but Manchester United is already thinking about the transfer window. After the season which will already go down in history as the club’s worst in the Premier League ever, the Red Devils want to make sure that they nail the first transfer window under Ruben Amorim. According to almost all TV pundits and former players, and even the minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, there are players who are just not good enough for the club and will have to go. New blood is needed and they have to bring in some proven players this time, especially in the attack, where things have been disastrous. So, they hurried this time, and according to Brazilian sources, Matheus Cunha is on a verge of becoming a Red Devil.A Wolf and a Dragon for a stronger United? So far, there were rumours that Manchester is interested in Cunha, but Brazilian ’Globo’ now repots that the deal is in its the final stages and that Cunha will become United’s first player in the upcoming window. The Brazilian had a great campaign this season even thou he played for Wolves, who were fighting relegation for most part of the year, and his 14 goals along with four assists are just one goal less than Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund comibined. Newcastle United were also interested in the player, but due to Alexander Isak’s presence, Cunha would have either start from the bench or would play on the left side in a 4-3-3 formation. In United, he would basically have no competition.’Hojlund is a damaged player’Apart from the Brazilian, there is a possibility that United hire another striker, but since this deal will be in proximity of 62 million pounds, targets like Victor Osimhen, Xavi Simons, Benjamin Sesko and Eberechi Eze will probably be out of reach, unless somebody gets sold or United wins the Evropa League. But, players like Ipswich’s Liam Delap, with a release clause of only 30 million is a big possibility.PREMIER LEAGUE – MATCHDAY 34TuesdayMan.City – Aston Villa 2-1 (1-1)/Silva 7, Nunes 90+4 – Rashford 18 pen/WednesdayArsenal – Crystal Palace 2-2 (2-1)/Kiwior 3, Trossard 42 – Eze 27/Saturday14:30: (1.63) Chelsea (3.80) Everton (5.70)17:00: (1.67) Brighton (4.20) West Ham (5.00)17:00: (1.20) Newcastle (6.75) Ipswich (14.0)17:00: (5.00) Southampton (4.20) Fulham (1.65)17:00: (1.62) Wolverhampton (3.80) Leicester (5.80)SundaySun 16:00: (1.70) Bournemouth (4.20) Man.Utd.
