Daniel Levy certainly has his ‘enemies’ among Tottenham fans. The Spurs supremo is certainly a capable executive who made some shrew moves in recent years and made the club very powerful in terms of revenue and financial gain, even thou Tottenham is not the most popular club not even in London, yet alone in England. But looking strictly at the coaches he chosen in the last decades, he made some bad decisions. Jacques Santini, Martin Jol, Juande Ramos, Tim Sherwood, Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espírito Santo were some of the hires which didn’t end well and Ange Postecoglou is the next in line. When Ange Postecoglou spoke about Erik ten Hag’s sacking last season 🗣️ pic.twitter.com/BVsOj2jSeB— Football on TNT Sports (@footballontnt) June 8, 2025 When the Greek coach finally delivered a trophy for Spurs after 17 years, he was sacked soon afterwards, mainly due to the fact that the club finished in 17th place in the Premier League. According to some reports, the dressing room didn’t react well to this decision, but Levy is already on the verge of appointing another manager – Thomas Frank. The Spurs officially approached Brentford with a request to sign Frank and are willing to pay 10 million pounds worth compensation. It is widely expected that the deal will be finalized in the next 48 hours. But, maybe Levy will have a change of heart if he reads the plea of Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Nicholas Reece. And for Ange’s third season with Spurs – Thomas Frank!“On behalf of the people of Melbourne, and Premier League fans around the world, I call on Tottenham Hotspur FC to reconsider its decision to sack coach Ange Postecoglou. ‘In @cityofmelbourne we have followed Ange’s career closely for decades. He began his junior and senior career in Melbourne as a player and later coach at @southmelbournefc in the 1980s. Never underestimate Ange’s determination to win, and his ability to carry teams to greatness. We have seen this time again over his career. This year Tottenham made history by winning the Europa League trophy – its first such win in 17 years. We will see with further trophies follow if Ange is given the chance. Don’t let Tottenham be known as the team that is allergic to silverware. Let Ange lead the players onto greatness in next years Premier League campaign” wrote Reece on his Instagram profile. Needles to say, Levy will remain tough and appoint Frank.##NAJAVA_MECA_8974299##
