Yet, that year was probably the toughest one in Minoungou’s life, as he suffered a severe eye infection and consequently lost sight in his left eye.Nevertheless, he continued fighting for his place in the sun and found it with the Seattle Sounders in August 2024. In his maiden season with the crew from the state of Washington, Minoungou made 18 appearances and noted four assists.
