A tale of two different fortunes awaits in the early kick off match scheduled for Ruaraka Grounds when league hopefuls Tusker FC welcome relegation contenders Western Stima on Wednesday afternoon.The two teams are exactly on opposite ends of the league table as the Brewers sit in second place with 41 points, only one point behind leaders KCB, while Stima sit second from bottom in 16th place with 13 points.For Tusker, the script will almost be the same as in the first leg where they thumped the Kisumu based side 5-2, only that David Majak who netted a brace in that game will be missing as the lanky striker has since moved to Sweden on a short term loan deal at Kalmar. Still, the Robert Matano side has very able replacement in Henry Meja who, so far, has eight goals in total for the club this season. Outstanding if they manage to pull off a surprise win, something they last managed in 2017 and before that, way back in 2012. Their recent form, however, does not give too much promise of a possible win. The club has only recorded one win in their last 16 matches and none in the last five.Their head coach, who has a fully fit squad at his disposal as utility defender Clinton Bulimo and midfielder Edwin ‘Euro’ Omondi are both expected to start, has however called on the match officials to make decisions without fear or favour as he feels calls in their previous matches have been unfair on them.“The team has been playing very well only for the momentum to be interfered with by poor officiating decisions from the referee. It is an issue that really got me frustrated in our previous games and it is something we asked to be discussed and taken care of in the pre match meeting. Apart from that our preparation has gone on well and I expect the boys to put up a fight,” the head coach said.
