Paratici convinces Levy that Espirito Santo is the one

Many Tottenham fans will no doubt be disappointed that a two-and-a-half month process of searching for a new head coach has gone past some exciting names to end up with a man who has been available for weeks.Is the drama at the new White Hart Lane finally ending? He arrived in the UK this week and was apparently able to convince his new chairman that Espirito Santo would be the perfect fit to stabilize the team.During discussions Paratici showed Levy the way Espirito Santo’s entertaining Valencia side played, more often with a 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 than the back three he became known for at Wolves.Chelsea’s go-to guy not allowed to go, although he’s not Tuchel’s first choiceAlso, his desire to work with academy players and help develop Tottenham’s youth was also believed to be a positive for the club during the negotiations.If the rumours are true, the Portuguese could be announced before this weekend and ready to start work on Monday when the non-international players return for pre-season training.Pre-season will see matches against Leyton Orient, MK Dons, Chelsea and Arsenal, before a huge opening Premier League match against Manchester City at home turf.Speculation surrounding Harry Kane are ever present but with Kane still at EURO 2020, that story will probably not see it’s epilogue soon.
