City Stars coach rues Chumsy’s absence in Wazito defeat

Nairobi City Stars head coach Sanjin Alagic has admitted that his side missed Kevin ‘Chumsy’ Okumu during their league game against Wazito FC on Wednesday afternoon at the Ruaraka Grounds where they lost by a solitary goal.Okumu, on loan at City Stars, was barred from facing his parent club and in his absence, the Kawangware-based club fielded the largely underused in the position. Edwin (Buliba) had a good game but when you don’t have a player like Chumsy there’s something that you’ll always lack,” he said.Alagic added that they had prepared for the game expecting that Okumu would feature only to be informed that he cannot face his parent club. He is however happy to have him available for Sunday’s match against Bandari in Mombasa.”We had prepared for the game with him in mind and then we were told that we couldn’t use him and we had to make a change. For a team, it destabilizes you a little but we did try to cope well and in our performance, there was no gap.
