KCB shift focus to winning league after Champions League miss

KCB assistant coach Geoffrey Oduor has promised a tooth and nail finish to the end of the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) after his team narrowly lost out on a historic chance of representing the country in the prestigious CAF Champions League. At the start of the final deciding day on June 30th, KCB who sat in second place on 43 points trailed log leading Tusker by just one point and needed to win their match against Nzoia Sugar and hope that a resurgent Ulinzi Stars who had not lost a game a since football’s resumption would manage to stop the Brewers from getting a needed win.Watu wa live football apps hii nayo Mungu hatawasamehea. In the end, it is only one point that made the difference between us and Tusker. I would love to congratulate them on the win. Ours now is to focus on winning the league title,” Oduor said.Hi @CAF_Online , Can we be friends? 😉😉#KenyaMilele #Brewers4Life— Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) June 30, 2021 The Bankers will take a rest on Matchday 23 when Tusker will face a stern test against defending champions Gor Mahia who will want to stake a claim in the defence of their title as the campaign has only ten games left. Should Gor fail to stop the Robert Matano-coached side, KCB will have the chance to do so on their own as they take on Tusker in their next encounter on July 10th.
