Another medical emergency as Senegalese striker suffers a cardiac spasm and collapses during training

The shock of Christian Eriksen’s Copenhagen drama is yet to give us relief, and we’ve got the news of another footballer going through a heart emergency. Senegalese forward Khouma Babacar collapsed due to a cardiac ‘spasm’ during training with Aytemiz Alanyaspor.The 28-year-old seemingly felt unwell during a training session today and crumpled to the ground. Quick reaction from the medical staff gave Babacar first aid and rushed him to hospital for tests. Further examinations and treatment of our footballer will be carried out at Private Alanya Anadolu Hospital under the supervision of our club doctor Ismail Yetkin. We convey our best wishes to Khouma and wish him a speedy recovery.”Babacar has also taken a step to assure his friends and fans that he is recovering, with a post on Instagram. He posted a selfie from his hospital bed with an encouraging caption.”I’m fine. He is currently on a two-year loan with the Turkish Super Lig club from Sassuolo and the deal is expected to expire at the end of the 2021/22 season.Babacar scored 39 goals in 166 Serie A appearances, and another 21 goals in Serie B, the Italian second tier.
