Stuttering Kenyan champions Gor Mahia have parted ways with their Portuguese head coach Manuel Vaz Pinto on mutual consent.Pinto jetted out of the country on Friday night leaving his assistant Sammy Omolo to take charge of the team for the remainder of the season.The Portuguese had an offer from Portugal Division Two side, CD Nacional, and is reportedly set to join the club. He requested that we release him so that he can attend to some family issues back home. We also understand that he has an offer from a second-tier team in Portugal and as the management we decided to let him leave, he jetted out on Friday evening. Sammy Omolo will be in charge for the remainder of the season,” a club official told Mozzart Sport.The Portuguese’s reign has largely been a tough one due to offfield issues like the financial challenges the team is currently facing.
