Patilah Omoto aiming for more after Posta Rangers brace

Kariobangi Sharks midfielder Patilah Omoto is delighted and full of praise to his teammates after grabbing a brace against Posta Rangers as Kariobangi Sharks beat Stanley Okumbi’s team 3-0 at Ruaraka.A goal at the stroke of halftime and another one deep in stoppage time saw the midfielder add his tally for the season to three goals, with the other goal coming against Kakamega Homeboyz in May.Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Omoto expressed his joy saying that the goals would push him towards realizing his personal target that he had set at the beginning of the campaign.”I feel good for scoring the two goals. At the beginning of the season, I had set a target of seven goals but I had only managed one, now I have three. With the remaining games to the end of the season, I believe it is possible to attain that target and I will keep on working hard. The goals have not been coming but I have been working hard and remaining patient knowing that they will eventually come,” the midfielder said.90+ 5′ Sharks ⚽️Omotto scores Shark’s third His second of the day⚽️ Eric Kapaito ⚽️ Patilla Omotto ⚽️ Patilla Omotto #RangersVsSharks#BKPL pic.twitter.com/JalgvabOWq— Betking Kenya Premier League (@Officialfkfpl) July 10, 2021 Sharks went through some rough patches recently, going on a five-match losing streak and Omoto believes that resilience and sticking together as one family helped them out of that pit.”We stuck together through the bad times. After games when we did not get the desired result we sat together and talked about the game and where would rectify and it worked,” he addedOn the young players coming up at Sharks, the midfielder, who happens to be one of the longest-serving players at Sharks, said that giving them a sense of belonging in the team has helped them settle in the team well and produce good performances.Immediate former Dagoretti High School captain Boniface Mwangemi starts for Kariobangi Sharks.
