Masoud Juma on target for third consecutive game

Harambee Stars forward Masoud Juma continued his purple patch in front of goal as he scored yet again for a third consecutive game for his Difaa El Jadidi side in a league match played against Youssoufia Berrechid on Friday evening in the Moroccan Botola Pro League. Unlike his two previous goals, Masoud’s third strike on the spin was not enough to secure the three points as the visiting team came from behind to win 2-3 at the Stade El Abdi.Difaa came into the game high on confidence as they were on a three-match winning streak and after a quiet opening 42 minutes, Juma gave the hosts the lead with three minutes remaining before the halftime break.Thirteen minutes into the second half, Berrechid restored parity in the game through a strike from defender Said Grada. With 20 minutes left on the clock, Berrechid pulled away as they scored two goals within nine minutes to give themselves some cushion in the game.Youness Hawassi and Patrick Kaddu struck in the 70th and 79th minute to take Berrechid’s lead to 3-1 up. With a minute to go, Chouaib El Maftoul pulled one back in the 89th minute but his effort proved too little too late, the visiting side ending Difaa’s three-match winning streak as they themselves ended a run of two consecutive losses. With the win, Berrechid jumped out from the bottom of the log into 15th position on 30 points. Difaa on the other hand stayed sixth on the standings on 35 points after failing to capitalize on a chance to push higher up the table.
