Tusker FC goalkeeper Emery Mvuyekure is delighted after shaking off a shoulder injury and making a full return to the team, featuring in the last two games, against AFC Leopards and Mathare United for the Brewers and keeping two clean sheets. The Rwandese international had been sidelined after picking a shoulder injury while on duty with his national team earlier. The former APR custodian however noted that despite the setback and a difficult time out for him, he kept his patience and continued to work hard in training when he was cleared to resume training.“I really feel delighted to have come back and done well in two games. The period out was very difficult as is for any player who misses matches due to injury. But I kept my patience and worked hard in training when I returned,” the goalkeeper told the Club’s portal.⭐| Your Man of the MatchMvuyekure Emery of @tusker_fc #BKPL pic.twitter.com/A7eADyKGfI— Betking Kenya Premier League (@Officialfkfpl) July 16, 2021 He went ahead to say that even when he was sidelined, he continued to visit the team’s training sessions every day and kept tabs with league matches to ensure that he felt part of the team at all times. This, he said, helped him understood the progress of the team, how they were playing, and what he needed to do upon his return. He continued to say that the team’s focus now is on the remaining matches, noting that their target is to collect maximum points in the remaining games as they have their eyes fixed on the title.“Now we have some heavy tasks coming up with the next matches and our target is to ensure we fight for maximum points in every game because we want to battle for the title,” he said.A huge congratulations to our goalkeeper Emery Mvuyekure who kept a clean sheet as Rwanda beat Mozambique 1-0 in their AFCON qualifier today.📸| Courtesy @FERWAFA pic.twitter.com/AdUBfeTqBb— Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) March 24, 2021 In the seven games that Tusker played without the former AS Kigali shot-stopper, they conceded in five, including a howler for Robert Mboya in the 2-all draw away to KCB.
