Masud Juma’s Covid-19 hit Difaa survive relegation in Morocco

Kenyan international Masud Juma will play another season in the Moroccan Botola Pro after securing survival on the final day of the season despite losing 2-0 to Hassania Union Sport Agadir.Red hot Juma missed the matchday squad despite scoring in three consecutive games after notching goals against Ittihad Tanger, RSB Berkane and Youssoufia Berrechid.This comes after the club confirmed on Sunday that eight players tested positive for Covid-19 with three members of the technical bench also found with the virus.

“The new Hassani Football Club has arrived at the results of the team’s Covid-19 tests this morning, Sunday, July 25, 2021. Results showed 8 new positive cases, so the number of infected persons inside the team reached 11 including 3 from the UCD and 8 players,”“The infected elements will be subject to the health protocol in force by the competent health authorities,” read a statement from the club. The club did not however reveal the identity of the players who tested positive but were forced to make wholesome changes in their starting line up.After a slow start the game finally burst into life at the stroke of halftime with Badr Octobar tapping home from close after Youssef El Fahli set him up with a cut back.

Hassania picked up from where they left from in the second half as they doubled their lead nine minutes after the closing half with Ayoub El Mallouki who rifled the ball into the roof of the net.With Moghreb Tétouan losing on the final day, Difaa secured survival in the Botola Pro ahead of next season.
