“I was sure I would heartbreak the Kenyans in the playoff. We badly needed to revenge the semifinal lose and finish third. It was a good feeling to score against Kenya for the second time as I did during last year’s U20 tournament in Tanzania,” he said.Lual who is scheduled to jet back in the country on Thursday also expressed satisfaction with how they fared in Ethiopia. The former Atlabara forward said he will be banking on the confidence gained from participating in the tournament to bail Mathare out of the jaws of relegation.#EmergingStars miss a spot in the CECAFA U23 Championships finals after losing 4-2 in post-match penalties to Burundi.👉https://t.co/O7Z9QWx5hn pic.twitter.com/UFPlBSjEtZ— Harambee Stars (@Harambee__Stars) July 27, 2021 The slum boys are placed at the rock bottom of the log with fifteen points and will have to win at least four out of their remaining six rounds if they are to survive the axe.“It would have been bad for me not to score in the tournament.
