Nairobi City Stars interim head coach John Amboko has expressed caution ahead of their nail biting clash with a rejuvenated relegation fighting Mathare United who are one of the four teams who could potentially succumb to the chop this season.The cause of concern for City Stars however is, in the last two fixtures, a hitherto struggling Mathare has metamorphosized into a winning team, coming from behind on two separate occasions to win their games against Sofapaka and Kariobangi Sharks, six crucial points that have propelled them from a bleak last place on the league standings to a safe 15th place on 21 points.Ahead of the league match that takes place at Ruaraka Grounds on Saturday afternoon, Amboko, while expressing belief in his team’s capability, called on his side to be wary of the hunger that the slum boys will carry into the match as they fight to maintain their top flight status with four games left before the 2020/2021 season wraps up.“Our approach in the game will not be any different but obviously we need to be careful because I know they are fighting to get out of the relegation battle they find themselves in. Currently, the Kawangware based side sit in a stunning third position on the log on 44 points. Performances that the interim head says have by far superceded the targets they had set for themselves after gaining promotion from the National Super League.“When we were promoted back to the top division, our aim was just to maintain our stay in the top-flight league. On getting halfway through the season, we started seeing signs that it would be possible for us to achieve our target.
