Injured AFC Leopards winger cries for help

AFC Leopards winger Jaffari Owiti has appealed to the management of the club to expedite the process of availing funds meant for his knee surgery. The speedster has been out of action for nearly two months after damaging his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) while in action against Tusker in a Football Kenya Federation Cup quarterfinal at the Ruaraka grounds.Owiti revealed that the club had been taking him circles leaving him a frustrated man. The former national U23 winger disclosed that the scans conducted earlier exposed a career threatening tear which requires at least Ksh 350,000 to be medically repaired.He painfully narrated that the management had kept him waiting oblivious of the fact that he hurt his knee while on duty and had promised to cater for medication. The chairman has been assuring me that he will do something but no help has come out forth. The club told us not to worry about medical covers for they will take care of it. Time is not on my side and my career is at risk if I don’t go for surgery soon.
