Tusker add Tanzanian player into their shopping list in preparation for CAF duels

FKF Premier League leaders, Tusker have continued to strengthen their squad ahead of their Caf Champions League campaign by acquiring the services of Tanzanian international Kalos Protus Kirenge from Tanzanian Premier League side, Namungo FC. The central defender, who has been the Brewers for the last one week has signed a two-year deal with the Ruaraka based side who are currently on a recruiting spree ahead of the new season where they will represent the country in Africa’s Premier competition, the Caf Champions League. The defender has been training with the Brewers for the last one week and according to sources, he has impressed the Robert Matano led technical bench. “Kirenge is already with Tusker, he has been training with the team for last couple of days and he will be part of the team next season. They (Tusker) offered him a good deal and he decided to try out another league,” a source close to the player told Mozzart Sport. Tackle? Good enough. 👍Tackle + Skill? Perfect. 👌What a move by Namungo’ Kalos Kirenge. 😍#TotalCAFCC pic.twitter.com/vhuQEDel2o— TotalEnergies CAFCL – TotalEnergies CAFCC 🏆 (@CAFCLCC) March 10, 2021  Kirenge is a full Tanzanian international and boasts of continental experience having place in the Caf Confederation Cup with Namungo last season. He has previously turned out for FC Eschborn in Germany and Biashara United in the TPL.  His arrival is a timely boost for the Brewers who have had a shaky backline this season and are in the process of strengthening it further. The team has already acquired two more defenders in Clyde Senaji from AFC Leopards and Charles Momanyi from Gor Mahia. The club has also acquired the services of Harambee Stars keepers Patrick Matasi and Brian Bwire from St. George FC and Kariobangi Sharks respectively. Midfielder Teddy Osok from Kitwe United, winger John Njuguna from Ulinzi Stars. They have also been linked with AFC Leopards forward Elvis Rupia and Kariobangi Sharks fullback Daniel Sakari.
