Offers flocking in for Vihiga’s Stewart Omondi

After impressing in the second half of the season with relegation battling Vihiga United, youngster Stewart Omondi had attracted interest from FKF Premier League who are planning to swoop for the young midfielder when the FKF Premier League transfer window swings open in a week’s time. Omondi has caught the eye on many with consistent performances since he made his debut against Gor Mahia on 27th May in Mumias, a match that his side lost 1-0, he has been a constant figure in coach Mike Mururi’s side since his bow. He has grown from strength to strength chipping in with three goals and several man of the match performances and now the FKF PL big boys want him. Ulinzi Stars, Kakamega Homeboyz and KCB are among clubs interested in the workaholic box to box midfielder. He keeps improving and I believe that he will get much better with time. He is young with a big room for development if he keeps working hard and be open to learning,” he added.Asked whether it is too soon for the youngster to leave Vihiga, Twago was quick to dismiss the assumption. According to the tactician, the player has the right mentality to succeed at any club he will join.”He has a very strong mentality and I believe he will be a success at any club. Before he joined Vihiga he traveled all the way to Mombasa for trials with Bandari, he has that desire and hunger to succeed and I think he will do well wherever he goes,” he concluded.Omondi and Vihiga have an important game on Wednesday that could determine if they remain in league or they go down.
