Struggling Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League side AFC Leopards has received a Ksh700000 ‘infrastructural development’ donation from Seven Four Eight Air Services ahead of the 2021/22 season that starts in a month’s time.The cheque was handed over to the club chairman Dan Shikanda by the company chairman Ahmed Rashid Djibril on Monday, the company went on to wish the team well for the upcoming season. “Our Chairman Mr. Ahmed Jibril made a contribution of Ksh. 700,000 to @AFCLeopards The donation was delivered to @AFCLeopards Chairman Dr. Dan Shikanda. With this contribution, the team’s infrastructural commitment in their preparation for the upcoming league will be secured,” the company said in a statement. This is the second time the company is making donation to a football club. The team has also not paid their players for a couple of months due to these challenges and they are fighting to keep hold of some of their best talents with rivals ready to pounce.Ingwe finished the just concluded FKF Premier League campaign in fourth position. They were in contention for the title for the better part of the season before dropping out in the later stages of the campaign. Tusker lifted the title after amassing a total of 65 points.
