Sharks winger makes injury comeback after over seven months out

Kariobangi Sharks have been handed a shot in the arm ahead of the 2021/2022 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) season that is set to get underway in under one month after speedy winger Patrick Ngunyi was passed fully fit after staying out of action for nearly eight months.Back in January, the youngster damaged his patella tendonitis and was ruled out for what was thought to be around eight to ten weeks. Speaking to the club’s portal, the winger expressed his delight in turning a new leaf after an injury-laden eight months as he thanked the management for sticking with him at a time when up to eleven players have been released by the club.“Having been out of the game for more than a year due to a nagging injury, being back feels good. I thank the club management for standing by me through that period. Being back on the pitch and having a feel of the ball at my feet is refreshing. The experienced defender who also underwent surgery started taking part in light training sessions with the team as the 2020/2021 season approached its conclusion.
