Juma confident of regaining promotion with Stima next season

After suffering the drop last season, Western Stima head coach Abdallah Juma is confident of returning back to the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) at the first time of asking.Stima had a disastrous season that saw them concede the most goals (58), 11 more than their closest challengers Mathare United who managed to pull the great escape in the penultimate game of the season.Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Juma revealed that should the club streamline its operations next season, promotion back to the top-flight will be on sight.“I’m very confident of getting the team back up if we put our house in order because there are a number of things that need to be set straight especially with the structure of the club,”“We also need to know which players will be leaving this transfer window and who will we bring in to strengthen our squad as we plan to play in the NSL,” said Juma.Stima suffered relegation back in the 2017 season but earned promotion after one season in the National Super League (NSL) before again going down last season. With Stima being the last Kisumu-based side in the FKFPL, Juma revealed that he has already identified his signings and urged the club to beef up the squad.“I have already identified the players that I want in this transfer window and the club needs to move with speed in signing the players because other teams might also be watching them,”17 years Old Rodgers Ouma was named man of the match against Zoo Kericho last week. He has been amazing for us and now that he takes a break to concentrate on his fourth form examinations, we wish him success.#stimanimoja pic.twitter.com/33JENX6Rwc— Western Stima Fc (@WesternStima_fc) March 15, 2021 “I have some experience in the NSL having coached Talanta who are now earned a promotion to the league, I only need 14 games in the second tier to know whether we can earn promotion or not,” added Juma.Stima however have a financial crisis that has already seen Baron Oketh and Clinton Bulimo leave the club with Juma’s future also in doubt.
