Mnunka finally got her first goal of the match in the 28th minute with a power shot just outside the box for Simba’s third while substitute Djafari opened her account three minutes later. Simba outplayed the Djiboutians who looked out of sorts, allowing the Tanzanians to dictate the pace and control the ball and three minutes after Djafari’s goal, Mnunka tapped in for Simba’s fifth. FAD tactician Abdillahi Darar made his first change in an attempt to strengthen his backing, bridging in Deka Daher for midfielder Youssour Abdi. With two minutes left to the breather Tukumbuke was brought down in the box and the referee pointed to the box, handing Simba a chance to put seven past the hapless FAD which she converted. The match headed to the break with Simba holding the huge advantage. Less than a minute into the second half and FAD had conceded their eighth goal through Musolo as Tukumbuke nodded in Simba’s ninth five minutes later.
