Timothy Otieno opens up on reason for leaving Sofapaka

Former Gor Mahia forward Timothy Otieno has parted ways with Sofapaka, seven months after joining from Zambian outfit Napsa Stars citing financial issues.Otieno is now a free agent after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract with the 2009 Kenya Premier League winners that was signed back in February.Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Otieno revealed that the tough financial situation that the club is currently under prompted him to seek a new challenge but thanked the club for trusting in him.“I asked the club for a release letter to enable me seek for greener pastures with the club currently not in the best financial position which has made a bit challenging,”“I would like to thank the club for the chance they offered me.
