Kasumba ready to fight for the elusive golden boot

With the new season just around the corner and teams kicking off their preseason training sessions, players are increasingly coming out to disclose their targets for the 2021/2022 campaign.Among those who have identified their goals are Bandari forward Umaru Kasumba who says he will not settle for anything less of the league title and the Golden Boot.The Ugandan forward who will jet back to the country in the course of the week after a brief holiday in Kampala came close to bagging the individual accolade in 2018 but injuries in the final rounds of the season cost him the gong which went to Enosh Ochieng.Mbungo cries foul as Kasumba gets first red card of his careerKasumba who returned to the Kenyan league for a second spell in February managed six goals in the concluded season. We finished the season well and if we can pick it from where we left then we have a high chance of muscling for the title. We have a good squad and the support from the management is good. Regarding the boot, I know what to do in front of the goal,” he said.With six months remaining in his contract, Kasumba remains hopeful that he will get a contract extension with the dockers.
