Immediate former Kakamega Homeboyz striker Allan Wanga has penned a farewell letter to his fans after making the announcement that the 2020/2021 Football Kenya Federation Premier League was his last as an active soccer player.After a career spanning fourteen years with stints in Angola, Vietnam, Tanzania, Sudan and Azerbaijan, the two time Kenya Premier League Golden Boot winner (2007&2016) called time on a career that collected upto ten honours across the different clubs he has played in.Wanga officially retires from footballIn a post on his social media page, Wanga, who finished his career as the active player with the most goals scored in the KPL at 97 goals, reflected on his time on the pitch as he highlighted on his memorable times on the field.“Fourteen years doing something that brings you joy, satisfaction and pride is a blessing. I have lived this blessing since I first kicked a football at a tender age and stepped into the stadium professionally. My love for football has taken me places I had never imagined I would go, both for club and national duty. The player went on to leave a cryptic message as he had earlier suggested that at the right time, he shall try his hand at the FKF elective presidential positions.“Without you, my fans, teammates, technical benches across the clubs that I have played for, my family, I wouldn’t have had the motivation to keep going.
