Following a strong finish to the end of the season, Bandari duo of head coach Andre Casa Mbungo and forward Johanna Mwita have claimed the August Coach and Player of the Month award.Bandari finished top of the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) form table in the last five games after drawing one and winning four games.Mwita fended off stiff opposition from Vihiga United’s Lawrence Luvanda and Mathare United duo of John Mwangi and Daniel Otieno while Mbungo was up against Mathare United’s Frank Ouna. Mwita kicked off the month with a bang, scoring in the 2-1 win over Tusker FC a result that almost derailed the Brewers title hopes but they went on to claim their 12 league crown.🏅| Andre Cassa Mbungo and Johanna Mwita both from @BandariOfficial have been named Coach and player of the month for the month of August#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/LrVYr9SnJ6— FKF Premier League (@Officialfkfpl) September 13, 2021 The forward ensured that he scored in successive games as he was on target in the 2-1 win over Kakamega Homeboyz away from home. The late-season bloomer extended his red hot streak in the 3-0 demolition of Mathare United, another result that almost had an effect on the league but the Slum Boys picked themselves up from the drubbing by winning their successive games and surviving relegation. The clash against Sofapaka was the only game that Mwita failed to score in the month of August with Benjamin Mosha and Keegan Ndemi netting in the 2-2 draw.Kocha wetu mkuu Andre Casa Mbungo na Mshambuliaji wetu matata Yohana Mbatizaji Mwita ndio Kocha wa mwezi na mchezaji wa mwezi mtawalia kwa mwezi wa Agosti.
