Henry Meja has been named 2021 FKF Premier League Young Player of the year after an exemplary season with Tusker FC, a season the Brewers won the FKF Premier League title.The striker was in great form for the Brewers scoring ten goals. He also chipped in with seven assists as Tusker bagged the 2020/21 title, their first since 2016.Meja beat Vihiga United’s Lawrence Luvanda who finished second. Luvanda equally had a great season as he scored six goals and assisted four others to help his team avoid relegation from the FKF Premier League by securing a playoff spot.Kenya U23 defender Sylvester Owino who equally had a great season with Kakamega Homeboyz finished third. Owino scored three league goals for the Bernard Mwalala coached side and was rock solid at the back.Meja walks home with Ksh. 300,000 while Luvanda gets Ksh. 200,000. Owino was rewarded Ksh. 100,000 for his troubles.
